Information Day of the EU Erasmus+ Programme: Opportunities in Education, Youth and Sports for Newcomers (09.12.2024, online)
On 9 December 2024, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine organised the “Information Day of the EU Erasmus+ Programme: Opportunities in Education, Youth and Sports for Newcomers” to present the Programme and key calls for Ukraine in 2025. The event was organised by the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National eTwinning Support Office, and the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps Info Centre.
More than 130 participants representing public, private, and civil society organisations in the fields of education, youth, and sports from across Ukraine joined the webinar.

Adrien OLSZAK-OLSZEWSKI, Policy Officer Ukraine of the European Commission, Natalia RADCHUK, Head of International Cooperation and European Integration Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Maryna MRUHA, State Expert on Higher and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, welcomed participants with opening remarks.
The first presentation, delivered by Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, and Kateryna ZHDANOVA, Manager at the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, focused on the first steps for newcomers to participate in the Programme. It included a detailed introduction to the Erasmus+ Programme, an overview of the Programme Guide, official portals, and the mandatory organisation registration procedures. Speakers also provided insights on analysing existing experience for synergy, finding potential partners, developing project ideas, and other key aspects for newcomers.
In the second part, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA and Kateryna ZHDANOVA presented the open opportunities for Ukraine under the 2025 Erasmus+ calls in education, youth, and sports. They highlighted key action and priorities, focusing on institutional capacities for new calls and submitting applications across all KAs, including mobility, cooperation projects, and Jean Monnet actions.
Participants also engaged in a practical session to explore the application forms, understand key elements and steps for using the portals, and receive expert advice on preparing high-quality project proposals.
At the end of the event, attendees interacted with the speakers, shared success stories and experiences, and received answers to their questions.
